Adesh Gupta is believed to have a good hold in the union. He is originally from Uttar Pradesh. Gupta did his BSc from Kanpur University in 1991. In his election affidavit, he described the profession as a contract. The BJP is believed to have pushed them ahead in view of the business class in Delhi.

Tiwari was criticized for playing cricket in lockdown
Ever since the BJP's defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections, Manoj Tiwari has been under attack for action. According to sources, Manoj Tiwari himself offered to resign, but the party did not accept it. Tiwari was detained on Monday during a protest against the Delhi government.
Tiwari went to play a cricket match in Sonepat, Haryana during lockdown in the Corona transition. During this time he did not even wear a mask and the rules of social distancing were not taken care of during the match. He was also severely criticized. After being trolled on social media, Tiwari had clarified that all guidelines were followed.
